It looks like #Burberry is the latest fashion brand to face backlash for one of their designs.
According to @cnn, the hoodie design hit the runway during London Fashion Week, and the brand quickly removed the item from its collection after one of their models helped start the conversation about the hoodie design. Marco Gobbetti, Burberry chief executive officer, said in a statement, "We are deeply sorry for the distress caused by one of the products that featured in our A/W 2019 runway collection. Though the design was inspired by the marine theme that ran throughout the collection, it was insensitive and we made a mistake.” _____________________________________
Liz Kennedy, one of the models that participated in the show, took to social media to voice her opinion on the brand's design and claims that her concerns about the design were initially ignored.
