Adelie joy. These gorgeous Antarctic penguins are becoming more and more uncommon on the Antarctic Peninsula, moving south as the temperature increases. 3C in 50 years! It’s always a treat and a pleasure to catch a glimpse. This one is on Petermann Island. Earlier this season we saw Adelies tobogganing there, and hatching their first chicks of the year in deep spring snow. These birds are truly awe-inspiring.
